Health and Safety / Training Scheme

Warley Painters / Harper Small Works have always known that the training and development of its employees is essential for our future.

We have our own “in house” apprenticeship scheme training Painters, Decorators, Bricklayers, Carpenters, Plumbers, Gas Engineers, Estimators and Surveyors. In developing our apprenticeship scheme over the past 15 years we have worked closely with a number of colleges in the Midlands with all our apprentices attending college either on a day release or block release programme.

We are proud to be on the colleges Employers Advisory Boards and have recently won “Employer of the Year” award for outstanding contribution, which was awarded to us by Building Essential Skills for Construction Trades (B.E.S.T.).

We have also been fortunate to train two “Apprentice of the Year” apprentices.

Warley Painters / Harper Small Works take a pro active approach to all Health and Safety issues on our sites and ensure that all employees have the correct training for the works they are carrying out.

We have held accreditation since 2005 from Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), which we feel is a must for any conscientious contractor in the construction industry.

We have a number of employees who hold a National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health issued by NEBOSH.

The majority of our employees hold a current Construction Skill Certification Scheme Card (CSCS) with the remainder either on our apprenticeship scheme or enrolled with a local On Site Assessment Training Scheme (OSAT) approved training centre.
